This watch, by West End Watch Company, is a “Silidar” model, near the top end. It has an enamel face which dates it to prior to WW2. The watch case is the classic trench watch type, raised.

It is marked with the War Department arrow on the rear of the case. This is a RFC watch dating to about 1915 or 1916. U-Boat Torpedo Timer Case
Posted in Fakes & Replicas, Timepieces with tags DRL, Germany (Third Reich), Kriegsmarine, NSRL on November 21, 2010 by The DudeThis is a waterproof case for a U-Boat torpedo timer or pocket watch. It’s missing the lining inside but is otherwise in great condition. This came out of an antique store in Barrie, Ontario. Someone commented that this is definitely a reproduction. I am now certain that this is a fantasy piece. There is a NSRL/DRL type eagle attached rather than a KM one as you would expect.
