Panzerfaust Warhead Label

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgThis is an original paper transfer used on the head of a Panzerfaust round to provide basic instructions on use in the field. Many users of this weapon were untrained levies of youth and older men, so it was felt that providing these instructions on each individual tube would assist in getting a consistent result from the firing of what could be an alarming (to the user) weapon.

Raketenpanzerbüchse RPzB54 Panzerschreck

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgThis is the tube for launching the AT rocket found here. Originally I got this from a bloke in the Former East Germany who claimed it was a barn find. It was missing a lot of parts and was non-functional. After a lot of work and a year later I was able to assemble the missing parts, fabricate the cocking lever that I couldn’t get and get this thing working again. Only 6 in Canada!

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgThis little leaflet, interspersing rhymes about attacking tanks with a bloody Panzerfaust, was produced in 1944. Instructions fail to include bending over and kissings ones arschloch auf wiedersehn.

Faustpatrone Klein Round

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgThis is a complete round for the Panzerfaust 30 or Klein recoilless antitank rifle. If you compare this to the pimped up reproduction I have here you’ll see the difference. I discovered too late that the rear ends of these things were never painted. This one is a franken-round in that I married a head that I already had with a water retrieved tail piece that I found later.

Panzer Faust Klein Round

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgHere is my latest import, a Panzerfaust Klein round in terrific condition (too terrific, see below). The tube intended to fire this can be seen here. The tube was intended to be fired once and then discarded although at times they were collected and sent back to the factory to be recharged. This is not a rocket launcher, it is a recoilless gun. The projectile is thrust out of the tube using a gunpowder charge and only had a range of about 30m. It didn’t have the punch to destroy heavier armour and was later replaced by the Panzerfaust 30, Panzerfaust 60, Panzerfaust 100 and Panzerschreck.

Upon exploring further it appears that I have added to my reproduction collection inadvertently.  This is why I hate Jerry stuff. This one is indeed a repro that has been fiddled with in order to deceive. The originals were never painted on the shaft behind the charge container.

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgThis is the tube for a Panzerfaust Klein, more correctly called a Faustpatrone. I have shown it with the head attached so you can see the setup.

Faustpatrone 30 Klein

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgHere is a head that I have for my Faustpatrone 30 Klein. This is a recoilless gun, not a rocket launcher. The black powder charge in the tube was all of the propellant that the charge had to send it on its way. This head is missing the tail section and stabilizer fins.

Panzerfaust 60

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgThis is my Panzerfaust 60. It came out of Etobicoke from the Toronto Militaria Show. It’s plainly been recovered from water and then repainted but still a neat piece. Here also is a photo of a member of the “Ost Berlin Gebeit” with the same type of weapon.
